Highlights

  • Croatia's flagship route, ridden on e-bikes (the same Dalmatia Island Hopping itinerary, with every climb gentler)
  • Fitness rating 2/5. Suitable for children, older parents, and first-time cyclists riding alongside experienced ones
  • The Pelješac climb made comfortable by e-assist: 43 km of vineyards, 863 m of vertical, no suffering
  • No fitness bottleneck. Strong riders stay engaged, slower riders stay with them, and the group stays together
  • Battery charging overnight; full range every morning, no range anxiety on the long days
  • Same harbors, same yacht, same Adriatic

E-bikes change what's possible on a bike-and-boat tour. The climbs that turn back regular-bike riders become a comfortable spin. The long days that exhaust mixed-fitness groups become genuinely fun. The riders who'd otherwise be left behind stay with the group all week.

The Split E-Bike Island Hopping tour follows the same coast as our flagship Island Hopping tour: Brač, Hvar, Pelješac, Mljet, Korčula, Šolta. Same harbors, same yacht options, same Adriatic. What changes is the bike — and with it, who can come along.

This is the tour we build for groups with a wide fitness spread. Children riding alongside grandparents. First-time tour cyclists alongside experienced ones. The boat is yours alone for the week, and the availability of an e-bike makes sure everyone arrives at the same harbor in the same mood.

Here's what the e-bike changes specifically:

The Pelješac vineyard climb: 43 km, 863 m, comfortable rather than punishing. The full traverse of Korčula: 47 km, manageable on assist. The Hvar climb to Stari Grad: a steady spin instead of a fight. Battery range covers the longest day with margin to spare; charging happens overnight on the yacht while you're at dinner.

If you're trying to figure out whether the e-bike tour is the right fit for your group, schedule a free meeting with our yacht broker — we'll go through your group's profile, dates, and what you actually want from the week.

Our Bikes

This tour runs entirely on e-bikes — that's the whole point. The route covers the same coastline as our Dalmatia Island Hopping tour (~210 km, with climbs to 410 m), but the pedal assist takes the edge off the harder days. Riders who'd struggle on a regular trekking bike — including children, older guests, and first-time tour cyclists — finish the week strong and smiling.

Battery range comfortably covers the longest day (Day 3 Pelješac, 43 km / 863 m); the yacht has charging stations for the overnight top-up between rides.

Each e-bike rental includes:

  • Transport of the e-bike to your yacht and pickup at the end of the tour

  • Helmet (properly sized, road-certified)

  • Handlebar phone mount for navigation and route notes

  • Basic tool kit for small adjustments on the road

  • Battery charger (one per cabin) for overnight charging on board

Disclaimer: Bike availability may vary. If your preferred model is unavailable for your dates, we'll match you with a comparable e-bike of the same type and quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most days follow the same gentle rhythm:

Breakfast on deck around 8, then either a ride from your overnight harbor or a short cruise to the day's starting point. Cycling typically runs from late morning to early afternoon — anywhere from 25 to 65 km depending on the day — with a long lunch break in a fishing village or back on board.

Afternoons are loose: a swim straight off the stern, a walk through an old town, or doing nothing at all. Evenings are dinner with the cook on deck or a meal ashore.

The boat overnights in a sheltered harbor, never at sea. You wake up either ready to ride out of the same port, or after a short cruise to the next island.

Three things to think about: the route shape, the region, and your group's riding strength.

  1. Route shape — two of our tours run as loops from a single port; two run one-way down the coast. Loops are simpler logistically; one-way tours feel more like a journey.

  2. Region — some tours are based around Split, others around Dubrovnik. Each has a different cluster of islands and a different feel.

  3. Riding strength — if your group includes mixed fitness levels or first-timers, our e-bike tour is the most flexible. The others are similar in daily distance (25–55 km) but vary in climbing.

Each tour page lists daily distance, total ascent, and difficulty. Send us your dates and group profile and we'll recommend the best fit.

Yes. Each ride has a fixed start point and a known finish point (the next harbor, where the boat is waiting). Between those two points, you ride at the pace that suits you.

If a guide is riding with your group (see Q4), they regroup the riders at logical stops — viewpoints, coffee breaks, the start of climbs and descents — so faster riders aren't waiting indefinitely and slower riders aren't left behind.

There's no race-pace expectation and no shame in stopping for photos.

Guides are available as an optional add-on rather than included by default. We can arrange a professional cycling guide to travel with you on the yacht at all times, or to ride with your group every day or only on specific stages (the toughest climbs or the most technical days), or not at all — most groups happily ride self-supported with route notes and GPS.

Schedule a free meeting with our team to discuss the right setup for your group. We can adjust the itinerary based on what you decide.

If a guide is riding with the group, they'll stay with the slower rider while the rest of the group regroups at the next agreed stop. If the climb is genuinely beyond someone's fitness, there's always the option to skip a section — the boat picks up at the day's end harbor regardless.

For groups with very mixed fitness, we recommend booking e-bikes for the riders who'd benefit. Pedal assist evens things out without forcing the strong riders to slow down.

Our partners make sure that each bike comes with a basic repair kit for fixing punctures and minor adjustments on the road.

For anything more serious, our team stays reachable throughout your trip.

Our local partners will come to the yacht to repair the bike or swap it for a replacement — usually within the same day. You won't be stuck with a broken bike for the rest of your tour.

Yes — most boats have plenty of deck space for personal bikes, and you're welcome to ride your own.

If you're flying with your bike, check your airline's bike policy in advance — most carriers handle bikes well, but they have specific packaging requirements and fees.

Yes — and for groups of any size.

The private-charter format works equally well for two riders on a small yacht, a group of four on a mid-size gulet, or even a cycling club of thirty spread across one larger or two smaller boats.
