Our Bikes
Trekking, gravel, road, and e-bikes for our Croatia bike and boat tours: each bike serviced before every trip and delivered to your yacht before you board.

The bike makes or breaks a cycling-and-boat week. Croatia's Dalmatian coast is paved coastal roads, gravel island interiors, vineyard climbs on Pelješac, and quiet harbor approaches — and the right bike has to fit all of that comfortably.
We work with trusted brands and keep our fleet to current model-year bikes, serviced before every tour. Whichever bike you pick, you'll find it waiting for you at the embarkation harbor on Day 1, sized to your height and adjusted to your riding position. Helmet, phone mount, and basic tool kit included.

Our Bike Selection
As an extra to your tour - we rent four standard categories of bike, with any other model available on request at additional cost depending on the bike and the route.
Trekking and gravel are the most-booked across our four tours; e-bikes for mixed-fitness groups; road bikes for groups that want to push the daily distances; full-suspension e-MTB for the more technical inland routes.
Here are examples of the 4 bike types in our offering, with the final bikes being either these exact ones or similar to these, which will be discussed with you before you travel:
What's Included With The Rental?
Each bike comes with the same set of basics, delivered to your yacht before you board:
Bike transport to the embarkation harbor and pickup at the disembarkation port
Helmet, properly sized and certified for road use
Handlebar phone mount for navigation using the GPX files we send you, route notes, and photos on the move
Basic tool kit (pump, tire levers, multi-tool, spare tube)
For e-bikes: battery chargers for overnight charging on board
How To Choose?
Most of our bike and boat tours can be ridden on any of the four standard categories. The best choice depends on what you value most on the day. Four questions to walk through:

Q1. Quiet roads, or busier coastal traffic?
Quiet roads, gravel paths, island interiors, mixed surface → gravel bike or e-bike
Paved coastal roads with light traffic → road bike or trekking bike
Q2. How much help do you want on climbs?
Some assist, so you can keep enjoying the scenery → e-bike
No assist, you want the workout → gravel, road, or trekking bike
Q3. Speed or comfort?
Speed and distance — long days, fast riders → road bike
Comfort and stable handling on longer days → gravel or trekking bike
Q4. Mixed terrain on the same day?
Yes, tarmac and gravel both → gravel bike
Mostly smooth coastal roads → road or trekking bike
Each tour page lists the recommended bike type for the route — so you can cross-check your choice against the actual terrain.
The most versatile pick for a bike-and-boat week in Croatia. Wide tires handle the macadam stretches on Mljet and the Stari Grad Plain; fast enough on tarmac for the longer Korčula and Brač days; gearing built for the Pelješac vineyard climbs.
The default we recommend for any of our four tours when a group is unsure which bike to pick — it just works.
Classic pick: Dalmatia Island Hopping →
The classic touring bike: upright, comfortable, designed for full days in the saddle without strain. Slick tires roll efficiently on paved coastal roads, while the relaxed geometry takes the load off your lower back.
This is our most-booked bike across all four BBC tours — the right call for groups new to multi-day cycling who value comfort over speed.
Classic pick: Dalmatian Pearls →
Built for endurance on paved roads, with an aluminium frame, carbon fork, and Shimano 105 components. Best fit for our Best of Dalmatia tour, where the point-to-point format and the 47 km Korčula traverse reward fitness.
Not the right pick for the macadam stretches on Mljet or the Stari Grad Plain — groups bringing road bikes either skip those or carry a second wheelset.
Classic pick: Best of Dalmatia →
The bike that lets a mixed-fitness group ride the same route at the same pace. A trekking-style e-bike handles all four BBC tours, and the Split E-Bike Island Hopping tour is built entirely around it.
Battery range covers the longest day, with overnight charging on the yacht.
Classic pick: Split E-Bike Island Hopping →
Bringing Your Own Bike
You're welcome to bring your own — but talk to our cycling team first. They'll check your bike's specs (gearing, tire clearance, frame setup) against the tour you've booked, so what arrives at the harbor is actually fit for what's waiting on the road.
If your bike is cleared, it rides with you all week on the same yacht — no daily transfers, plenty of deck space, same cabin proximity. A few practical notes:
Soft bike bag or cardboard box — both work, the boat can store flat
Check your airline's bike policy in advance — most carriers handle bikes well, but they have specific packaging requirements and fees
Tell us at booking so we can confirm space on your yacht of choice

Still Unsure?
The right bike isn't always obvious before you've seen the route, especially for groups with mixed riding strength.
Reach out and our team will pair every rider in your group with a bike based on:
Fitness level
Riding experience
Personal preferences (saddle, frame size, drivetrain)
We'll handle the bike list before your group sets foot on the boat.
