Highlights

  • A Split-to-Split loop through Brač, Hvar, Pelješac, Mljet, and Korčula
  • The Pelješac vineyard climb tops out at 406 m above the Plavac Mali vines of Dingač (29 km, 556 m of ascent)
  • Pučišća on Brač still operates Croatia's last stonemasonry school, where the limestone behind Diocletian's Palace gets cut
  • Mljet's saltwater lakes are looped on a flat path; you swim straight off the cycling route
  • Daily distances 25–55 km, mostly paved, six riding days total
  • The most varied of our four routes: paved coast on Brač, gravel paths on Mljet, vineyard climbs on Pelješac

The Dalmatia Island Hopping tour is our most-booked itinerary, and the easiest one to recommend. It's the route most groups come back for a second time. Six riding days. Five islands and a peninsula. A private yacht.

The yacht solves the part of bike touring most people quietly hate. There's no daily luggage transfer. No hotel check-in at the end of a long day. Your cabin stays your cabin all week, and the boat moves between harbors while you sleep.

Each day's ride has been planned around what's actually rideable, not what looks good on a map. The Pelješac vineyard climb. The full traverse of Korčula. The flat lake loop on Mljet. Your local guide has ridden every kilometer, often more than once. And the boat is yours alone, with no shared cabins, no other guests, no fixed departures.

What makes this one work is the variety.

Six days, five distinctly different days:

  • Brač is white limestone and stonemason villages. Hvar is lavender fields and a Renaissance core.

  • Pelješac is wine country with the toughest climb of the week.

  • Mljet is pine forest and saltwater lakes you can swim in.

  • Korčula is the long traverse with vineyards and old-town charm.

  • Šolta brings you back to Split.

The roads are quietly excellent, the traffic is low on the routes we've picked, and our team is reachable 24/7 through the trip. Send us an inquiry with your dates and group size, and we'll get the right boat held while you finalize your plans.

Our Bikes

This route is mostly paved (one short macadam stretch on Mljet and Stari Grad Plain), with steady climbs of up to 410 m and one demanding 47 km day across Korčula.

Trekking and gravel bikes handle it best on this tour.

Each bike rental includes:

  • Transport of the bike to your yacht and pickup at the end of the tour

  • Helmet (properly sized, road-certified)

  • Handlebar phone mount for navigation and route notes

  • Basic tool kit for small adjustments on the road

Disclaimer: Bike availability may vary. If your preferred model is unavailable for your dates, we'll match you with a comparable bike of the same type and quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most days follow the same gentle rhythm:

Breakfast on deck around 8, then either a ride from your overnight harbor or a short cruise to the day's starting point. Cycling typically runs from late morning to early afternoon — anywhere from 25 to 65 km depending on the day — with a long lunch break in a fishing village or back on board.

Afternoons are loose: a swim straight off the stern, a walk through an old town, or doing nothing at all. Evenings are dinner with the cook on deck or a meal ashore.

The boat overnights in a sheltered harbor, never at sea. You wake up either ready to ride out of the same port, or after a short cruise to the next island.

Three things to think about: the route shape, the region, and your group's riding strength.

  1. Route shape — two of our tours run as loops from a single port; two run one-way down the coast. Loops are simpler logistically; one-way tours feel more like a journey.

  2. Region — some tours are based around Split, others around Dubrovnik. Each has a different cluster of islands and a different feel.

  3. Riding strength — if your group includes mixed fitness levels or first-timers, our e-bike tour is the most flexible. The others are similar in daily distance (25–55 km) but vary in climbing.

Each tour page lists daily distance, total ascent, and difficulty. Send us your dates and group profile and we'll recommend the best fit.

Yes. Each ride has a fixed start point and a known finish point (the next harbor, where the boat is waiting). Between those two points, you ride at the pace that suits you.

If a guide is riding with your group (see Q4), they regroup the riders at logical stops — viewpoints, coffee breaks, the start of climbs and descents — so faster riders aren't waiting indefinitely and slower riders aren't left behind.

There's no race-pace expectation and no shame in stopping for photos.

Guides are available as an optional add-on rather than included by default. We can arrange a professional cycling guide to travel with you on the yacht at all times, or to ride with your group every day or only on specific stages (the toughest climbs or the most technical days), or not at all — most groups happily ride self-supported with route notes and GPS.

Schedule a free meeting with our team to discuss the right setup for your group. We can adjust the itinerary based on what you decide.

If a guide is riding with the group, they'll stay with the slower rider while the rest of the group regroups at the next agreed stop. If the climb is genuinely beyond someone's fitness, there's always the option to skip a section — the boat picks up at the day's end harbor regardless.

For groups with very mixed fitness, we recommend booking e-bikes for the riders who'd benefit. Pedal assist evens things out without forcing the strong riders to slow down.

Our partners make sure that each bike comes with a basic repair kit for fixing punctures and minor adjustments on the road.

For anything more serious, our team stays reachable throughout your trip.

Our local partners will come to the yacht to repair the bike or swap it for a replacement — usually within the same day. You won't be stuck with a broken bike for the rest of your tour.

Yes — most boats have plenty of deck space for personal bikes, and you're welcome to ride your own.

If you're flying with your bike, check your airline's bike policy in advance — most carriers handle bikes well, but they have specific packaging requirements and fees.

Yes — and for groups of any size.
